The STRING BEAN Project

Oxbo Pixall™ BH100 Fresh Market Harvester

For over three decades, fresh market green bean, butter bean and southern pea growers have relied on the effectiveness and efficiency of Oxbo's Pixall™ BH100 Bean harvester. It brings legendary Pixall harvest technology to the fresh market grower.

Growers know that having good quality beans at a fair price, along with availability on a moment's notice, means more sales and higher profits. The BH100 allows growers to compete more favorably in a competitive market where finding good reliable help for hand picking is more difficult each year.

Oxbo's Pixall BH100 Bean Harvester brings harvest speed, capacity, productivity and cost control to fresh market growers:

§  Fast payback from reduced labor costs

§  Fast, high volume picking

§  Gentle handling, exceptional quality

§  No picking crew worries

Easy, Reliable Operation: The BH100 can harvest any row width from 18 inches up. Beans are gently stripped from the vines, cleaned by a powerful cleaning fan that removes leaves and other field debris, and gently conveyed by a soft rubber conveyor to the rear of the machine. There they are either bagged or boxed by an operator on the rear platform.

High volume picking capacity: With the BH100 and a 40 hp tractor, two people can harvest dozens of cases of clean, high quality beans per hour. No scheduling problems and no big payrolls to gobble up your profit margins.

Fast harvesting, fast payback: With as little as five acres of beans, growers can quickly justify the addition of this harvesting equipment. Not only does it eliminate hand picking payrolls, it gets all the beans that a picking crew might leave behind.

Clean, Hand-picked quality beans and peas: As important as reducing labor costs and high capacity harvesting is the quality of the beans picked. Gentle handling significantly minimizes any damage. Your fresh market customers will appreciate the appealing appearance of beans that rival hand-picked in every way.

The SWEET CORN Project

Oxbo's Pixall CP100 Fresh Market Corn Harvester

Since its introduction in 1994, the CP100 Corn Puller has made it possible for fresh market growers to deliver mechanically harvested, top quality sweet corn for supermarket and roadside sales. The CP100 provides its gentle harvesting technique in a one-row tractor drawn model.

The CP100 Corn Puller represents the most significant technology transfer to fresh market growers in more than a decade. It brings the already legendary Corn Puller technology available in high capacity multi-row commercial harvesters to the fresh market sweet corn grower.

The Pixall CP100 Corn Puller brings capacity, productivity and cost control to fresh market growers:

§  Fast payback from reduced labor costs

§  Fast, high volume picking

§  Gentle handling, exceptional quality

§  No picking crew worries

High Volume Picking Capacity

Now for the first time you can have a steady supply of damage-free fresh market sweet corn picked at a rate of more than 600 dozen ears per hour without the worries of managing a picking crew!

That's the kind of capacity the CP100 can give your fresh market operation. Hundreds of cases of high quality, clean, "hand-picked" quality sweet corn can be harvested on a moment's notice. It's as easy as starting your tractor.
