Tennis in Le Touquet

Last week some of our members went on their twice yearly trip to Le Touquet to play at the Centre Tennistique Pierre de Coubertin. Sounds grand but anyone can book and play there. They got 24 outdoor clay courts, 5 indoors courts, stadium court, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.
11 of us played 3 x 2 hour sessions over 3 days. Playing on clay is a new experience if you haven’t tried it. The ball definitely bounces slower so you do get longer rallies. It rained the second day but the kind people at the centre managed to fit us in on 2 indoors courts.
Needless to say and few drinks and some nice food was had when we weren’t playing tennis. So if you fancy a few days away in a nice French Resort, playing some tennis it’s highly recommended.
