Through 2020, HSMN Education Committee will be adding pages for all major Utsavs (Festivals) and Pujas (Prayers).

Here, you will find information on the the Utsavs and Pujas in the Hindu Temple of Minnesota. Each page will provide an overview of information on each deity, including: significance, history, rituals, stories, and prayers. It also gives guidance on how to do the puja at home (prayers, methods, fasting, etc). An easy-to-follow prayer will also be available with: Devanagari script, English script, line-by-line English translation, and summary.

This material has been compiled with the sole purpose of providing general information about each utsav/puja. These pages will not give a deep delve into our shaastras and teachings, but rather provide inspiration to those who are interested in learning further.
