This article shows you how to block junk emails from hitting your Hotmail or Outlook inbox.
To stop emails from the same senders or of the same topic appearing your Inbox, you can mark that offending message as junk.
Step 1: Log into your Hotmail/Outlook account.
Step 2: Click a folder and select an email you want to mark as junk.
Step 3: Click Junk.
Step 1: Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Options.
Step 2: Scroll down and find the Junk email section.
Step 3: Now you can block senders to stop receiving emails from specific email addresses or add a contact to your safe senders list.
Set the Junk Mail Filter to "Standard"
Step 1: Click the Gear icon at the top right and select Options.
Step 2: In the Junk email section, click Filters and reporting.
Step 3: Under Choose a junk email filter, select Standard.
Select Exclusive if you want to rely on your Safe senders and Safe mailing lists or contacts only. All emails that are not in these group will be moved to the Junk folder.
Step 4: Click Save.
