My grandparents Mr and Mrs William Mumford originally worked in Stifford Homes, Essex and from 1935 - 1950 they worked in Hornchurch. They had two girls my mother Vera and her sister Joan who grew up both in Stifford and Hornchurch homes together with the boys where my Grandfather taught music (bugle I think), and physical education, amongst other duties I would imagine.
