This walk was held on the day that UK records for temperature were broken. Weather on the moor started cool and wet. As forecast it became drier and warmer in the afternoon, but by the walkers were only in the full heat as we entered Tavistock. The long walk was cancelled to avoid prolonged exposure to the full heat.
