She recently started learning how to ride horses and cannot wait to go home and ask her parents for a unicorn.2. Using characters in the Harry Potter books, try to determine which part(s) of their memory are affected either by a Memory Charm or naturally. Explain your answers. Characters to consider are Bertha Jorkins, Neville Longbottom, and Gilderoy Lockhart.
Please choose one of the following options.
Option 1 - Magic or Muggle (3 points each)
As an Obliviator, you encounter various groups of people at the scene. It is up to you to distinguish the magical folk from Muggles. Your only clues are what the witnesses tell you. Witches and wizards always tell the truth. Muggles always lie. Can you figure out who is who? (Some of these have more than one answer. You only have to send me one that works.)
Group 1
Chip: Dale is a liar.
Dale: Only one of us is a wizard.
Group 2
Kerri: Misty and I are both magical.
Misty: Kerri is definitely a witch.
Group 3
Phil: Todd is not a Muggle!
Todd: Phil and I are different.
Group 4
Jill: Jack and I are both magical.
Jack: Jill is a liar.
Group 5
Alan: Jenny and I are the same.
Jenny: Only a Muggle would say Alan is a Muggle.
Group 6
Michael: Tony is a Muggle.
Scottie: No, none of us are Muggles.
Tony: Scottie is a wizard.
Group 7
April: June is a witch!
May: June isn't a witch because I'm a witch.
June: May is a liar.
Group 8
Doug: Roger is a liar.
Roger: Patty is not a Muggle.
Patty: Either I am a witch or Doug is a wizard.
Group 9
Fred: Velma is not a liar.
Daphne: Fred and Velma are both magical or both Muggles.
Velma: Norville is a Muggle.
Norville: Velma is a liar, but Fred is a wizard.
Group 10
Nigel: Abby is a witch and Kuki is a Muggle.
Hoagie: Wally is not a liar.
Kuki: I am not the same as Wally.
Wally: Kuki is a liar.
Abby: Wally is a wizard and Kuki is a Muggle.
Option 2 - Memory Maintenance (30 points)
What is a memory that you would never want modified? Preserve it! Create a graphic, put it to a song, or simply write it down. Upload any pictures to an image-hosting site and send the link. Attachments will not be open.
