I reload and I wanted a brass catcher. I looked at the most popular brand (Caldwell) but came to realize that I didn't have an empty picatinny slot close enough to the ejection port.
A person on a forum recommended a product called "Brass Goat". I thought it was overpriced, but it definitely attached in a more intelligent manner and there wasn't issue of a bag melting through.
I've got about 5k rounds with this brass catcher and I highly recommend it. I've used it in 20°f and 95°f without problems. The polymer is thick enough that I've never worried about breakage.
You do need to remember the box only holds a little over 30 cases and it will jam your rifle if it overfills. Also, it is a good idea to wipe the crud out of the catcher when you think about it.
If the deflector portion gets misaligned (hard to do) then brass can bounce back into the ejection port and jam the rifle.
If I buy another rifle, I will buy another Brass Goat.
