Splits Shot Timer App Review

So I decided to time my shooting. Naturally I checked to see if there is an app for that - there are many.

I tried to read reviews to make an informed decision, but Google's play store review format sucks - good thing the apps are free/cheap.

I chose "Splits" and I'll put some learnings here to help the next guy.

You have to buy it from the Play Store and later you can use the in-app purchases to get the paid version which does not have ads.

The settings menu is a bit confusing. After a while a person can figure out what the various settings and interactions amount too. But for the noob this is a difficult thing to do when you're out at the shooting range and trying to a Time some shots.

Line Feed Line Feed start timer button starts the timer it continues to time and do its thing until you push stop timer.

The first problem I noticed is that the first shot time was ridiculously fast. The time listed was a little over a quarter of a second, which is possible if you are Jerry Miculek, but for normal human beings and quarter of a second is not a realistic time for the first shot. I suspect the problem is that from the beep a person can begin to react and the app doesn't have a way of subtracting out the beep time recording the first shot.

Bla the app has a couple of different major modes one's called Comstock and and I don't remember what the other one is and the app has some minor modes which are hidden behind the a magnifying glass symbol which is normally used for searching.
