Having been focused on multiple aspects of student success throughout my career, my research interests are varied. Most are grounded in the successful implementation of active learning strategies across the disciplines, as well as the development and application of information literacy skills to support lifelong learning.
Active Research Projects
Information Literacy in - and Beyond - Library School. A national survey of pre-service and early career K-12 school librarians' job-based information literacy needs while in library school and shortly thereafter.
Impact of Learning Space Design on Active Learning Strategies - both in the library instructional space and in spaces throughout higher education campuses.
Syllabus Study of scaffolded information literacy skills in STEM courses in higher education.
Academic library instructional (or curriculum) materials collections and their impact on the preparation of pre-service educators.
...and many more ideas on deck.
