I am an Associate Librarian in the Learning & Curricular Services unit of the Academic Engagement Department of University Libraries at Texas A&M University. In this role, my primary focus is to support information literacy, critical thinking, and scaffolded curriculum development across the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas AgriLife, and 12th Man Athletics.
Prior to joining TAMU in 2023, I was the Instruction Librarian and an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University from 2018-2023. At SHSU I was responsible for coordinating formal and informal instruction in and through the Library while also supporting research in the School of Agricultural Sciences and the Math Education, Library Science, Instructional System Design & Technology, and Computer Science Departments, and serving as the Children’s & Juvenile Literature Librarian.
For the 20+ years preceding my tenure at SHSU, I served as a classroom teacher, school librarian, instructional coach, program coordinator, and campus administrator in a large EC-12 public school district in Deep South Texas. I also spent 10 years working in the private sector for small businesses and Fortune 500 companies in various industries.
