I am an Associate Librarian in the University Libraries' Office for Information Literacy at Texas A&M University. My primary focus is the support of information literacy, critical thinking, and scaffolded curriculum development across the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Texas AgriLife via guest lectures, collaborative instructional design, consultation services, and committee work.
Prior to joining TAMU in 2023, I was the Instruction Librarian and an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University from 2018-2023. At SHSU I was responsible for coordinating instruction in and through the Library while also supporting research in the School of Agricultural Sciences and the Math Education, Library Science, Instructional System Design & Technology, and Computer Science Departments, and serving as the Children’s & Juvenile Literature Librarian.
For the 20+ years preceding my tenure at SHSU, I served as a classroom teacher, librarian, instructional coach, program coordinator, and administrator in a large school district in Deep South Texas. I also spent 10 years working in the private sector with small businesses and Fortune 500 companies in various industries.
