Attached is a file that documents the teaching evaluations that Dr. Hedrick received at Wiley College; the average rating was much higher when the university was utilizing paper evaluations that were administered at the end of each semester - probably because everyone in attendance completed one. When "IDEA" appears to the right of the rating, it denotes one that was administered electronically, where participation was voluntary and student often times did not respond; particularly those that did not read their campus email, which unfortunately is a higher percentage than it should be at Wiley.
Dr. Hedrick received consistently high ratings in Mass Communication Law & Ethics, Mass Comm Theory & Research, Copy Editing, and Public Relations Campaigns. The ratings for Intro to Mass Communication are modestly high, perhaps due to the fact it was a course that included many students who were unsure of their major and trying communication out. Because Wiley College has an open enrollment policy, the course may have been more demanding than they (mostly freshmen and sophomores) had imagined it would be. The ratings for Mass Communication Research are consistent for a course of that type, a senior-level mandatory course that is rigorous and ends with a survey research project that requires statistical analysis.
