Hanover Park Residents-
(Update: As of 06/11/2020 No guidelines have been furnished by the Department of Health and thus Hanover Park HOA does not have a date for pool openings or even if pools will open this season. An update will be provided once guidelines are released by the Health Departement.)
During Gov. Beshear’s May 28th press briefing he gave a little more information regarding the opening and use of public pools this summer.
Public pools
Gov. Beshear announced that he is hopeful the state will be able to open a limited number of public pools the week of June 29 with extensive precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
He emphasized that local leaders may choose to keep pools closed based on their assessment of whether or not safety requirements can be met.
“That does not mean that a city will or will not open pools. There is a huge hit on budgets, and even states that have allowed it cities have not done it,” said Gov. Beshear. “I ask you to trust in your local leaders on how they choose to do that.”

Governor Beshear is still working on drafting the guidelines and restrictions which will need to be implemented in order for public pools to open. Our HOA pools fall under many’s of the same guidelines, restrictions and requirements of public pools. Once these guidelines are published the board will provide an additional update regarding Hanover Park pools for the 2020 season.
