Experience:
Working:
Research Assistant (11/2008-present)
IBISC Laboratory, University of Evry Val d’Essonne, Evry, France
Advisor: Prof. Dr. Philippe HOPPENOT, Dr. Damien EHRHARDT, Dr. Guillaume HUTZLER
Research project:
(1) Emotion modelling for virtual agents and personal robots: improving GRACE – Generic Model of Emotion in order to cover the important aspect of emotional behaviour as to create emotional intelligence for virtual agents and robots.
(2) Retrieval of emotional content in music: working on the proposition of a reduced set of musical descriptors to retrieve emotional content in music; implementing a neural net in Java to learn and predict emotional content for proposed musical descriptors. This works involved also programming tasks in C++ to process MIDI files.
(3) Design of emotional expression for mobile robot: designing emotional expressions for mobile robots without facial expressions, inspired from emotional moves of musicians during their performance. The design has been validated via two experiments with pupils for secondary and high school during the Festival of Science in France in 2010 and 2011. This works involved implementation of Java program to connect to the robot via UDP Protocol and Java graphic interface to use at the experiments.
