I developed the workshop dreams, because my dreams were stopped for a while in 2010 when I was wrongly admitted to UMC Utrecht first Psychosis department. I was diagnosed wrongly because there was already a bias in working because of a so-called friend who went to tell her story there 3x times. The psychiatrist only listened to her story about herself not including me. I had nothing and still have nothing to do with her lifestyle. I was never heard and didn't tell my story there, but I did all the tests they asked me to do and all of them pointed that I didn't have the diagnose Psychosis NAO that was appointed to me, because of the bias the so-called friend brought with her story. Before I could be released one more thing happened, I was attacked from behind and strangled by a total stranger for me. This led to therapy and medicine (Read the blog: 'Zyprexa made me sleep all day'). The therapy worked, because I was functioning soon again after being strangled, but the medicine caused a lot of deficiency in my body. All this led to me fighting for my health instead of being busy with my dreams.
I gave the workshop Dreams from 2012 till 2015 as an entrepreneur and as a volunteer. By making this workshop I started making my dreams happen again. Shortly after I started my business, I gave this workshop with homework to a former high school classmate with his own business. His purpose was to get his own projects started. I wasn't the only one who helped him with his dream of accomplishing his own projects. This one I gave as an entrepreneur.
The workshop Dreams for members of Vereniging Anoiksis I gave with late Christine Blanke (died in 2018). I gave this workshop as a volunteer. It was for a small group with feedback on each other’s stories and tips. It helped me realize that not everyone wants to work on their dreams. For some the situation now is already good enough.
The Midweek hiking was organized by me and the owner of Adstructie in 2018 & 2019. A midweek hiking on Ameland in 2018 & on Terschelling in 2019. During the stay I gave a few workshops based on the workshop Dreams, read the blog 'And Then I Was A Tour Guide!'. The participants were happy with the workshops. There was even a repeat guest in 2019. The midweek consisted of me hiking with the group and giving a few workshops about Dreams in which participants made mood boards, list of things they wanted to accomplish, watch inspirational talks and send a postcard to themselves with one dream they wanted to accomplish soon. The rest of the day the owner of Adstructie talked a lot with the participants.
