Assisting individuals with the development of their career path is considered to be a separate specialization and an important issue in the human resource development area. I appreciate the work they do and the support they provide to individuals. Having worked in the organizational and career development field, I have found that often clients need more than figuring out what their passion, their strengths and weaknesses, and how to get organized. Mental health challenges often play a crucial part.
My approach has been that when individuals, either through this website or because they know about my work in the organizational development area, approach me to assist them in deciding about career development choices they face, that the mental health issues get the necessary attention.
The approach I use consists of the same phases I use in complicated interventions:
PHASE I: DEVELOPING A PERSPECTIVE
PHASE II: COMPARING PERSPECTIVES
PHASE III: INTERVENTION DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
