I set my personal goal for this school year to be completing and publishing (hopefully) my Google Lit Trip . . . by Christmas. As it is now the end of October already (and it has been a really busy fall so far), I will have to focus and make this a priority over the next 8 weeks. Most of the pieces are in place now, and I have now recovered the work that I did in Google Earth last school year (as this involves recovering particular files for Google Earth from a backup, rather than simply accessing your account - everything is stored locally on your machine). My next step will be to contact some of my Chinese speaking/reading friends to try and figure out an old address in Tianjin of my grandfather which is shown on an old telegram which I found . . . this could lead me to where the old house in Tianjin used to be . . .
