40-inch reflector, Pic du Midi, France. Optics only 1962

Not on Ian Glass's original listing is the 40 inch optics made for Pic du Midi Observatory France. This is particularly interesting as the telescope (tube and mount made in France) was funded by NASA to photograph the moon as part of the space programme. An interesting account of the telescope can be fond here: http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/280333.pdf
