13/10-inch twin refractor, Pilsudski Observatory, Poland, 1938

It looks like this telescope had a short life, it appears that the observatory only last about one year. The building was opened in 1938 as part of the Astronomic Observatory at the University of Warsaw . In 1939 the Germans invaded Poland. Instruction were left that in the event of war part of the Observatory had to be destroyed. It is not clear if the telescope was included in this list. It may have been moved prior to the invasion at the beginning of world war 2.
