Warner: The grade school had grades from Kindergarten to 6th grade. There was one class in each grade so I was always with my friends. My favorite subjects in school were arithmetic and reading. I liked history but I hated handwriting. Mrs. Gardner was my favorite teacher in the 1st grade and I liked Mrs. Mumford in the 3rd and 4th grade. My least favorite teacher was Mr. Iverson. He was also the principal. The grade school was just across the street from our house so I didn't have far to walk. Once in awhile a lady would come from St George and read stories to us. She was from the school district and I really looked forward to her coming.
When I was eleven, I won a book, "The Short Wave Mystery" for reading 100 books during the year. I think I was a pretty good student. I liked school.
