Home - The John Nennial and Martha Wood Family Memories

Verlin, Nennial

Bryant, Martha, Arlington, Blair, Gordon, Warner

In a small town in Utah a Mom andDad raise their children inthe thirties and forties. Life was full of hard work, home spun fun, and family togetherness. Modern conveniences, such as cars and refrigerators were rare and there were no safety nets such as medicare or welfare. People depended on family, friends, and each other. In small towns such as Hurricane, you had to be self sufficient. These are the memories of how this family managed through the great depression, World War II, and raised five children to be successful adults in a very changing world.
