Penny in the flour

When I was a child, my Grandmother would often tend me and this is a game she would play with me that I loved. You need a cup of flour, a penny, and a table knife to play. You can play with 2-4 players.

PREPARATION:

• Put the penny in the center of the bottom of a cup
• Without disturbing the penny, pack the cup firmly with flour
• Turn the cup over on a plate and remove the cup from the flour

PLAY:

• Each player takes a turn cutting some of the flour with the knife. The player that makes the penny fall must dig the penny out of the flour with their teeth not using any hands. (Kids love this game if the adult loses the first round.) Having a camera handy enhances the enjoyment.
