AP Psych Exam- afternoon of Tuesday, May 3 -- Free if registered to the AP course
IB Psych Exam- afternoon of Tuesday, May 17 & morning of Wednesday, May 18 (HL only)-- Free if registered to the IB course
Due Monday, May 16 (A-day) or Tuesday, May 17 (B-day)
Background Information: This project has the potential of serving as a method by which you can study in-depth an area of psychology that most interests you. Be creative, be flexible, and be interested in your topic of choice. By presenting many of these projects in class, we will additionally refresh your memory of a great deal of information, which will help as we move to the end of the course.
Format of Presentations: The presentation of this project may be either oral or written, but I would prefer that you consider an oral presentation because the entire class will obviously have the opportunity to hear about your work. All project options require ≥ 4 sources.
Written summaries should be approximately 6 pages in length (typed, double-spaced, 12-point font), excluding title page & references. You may count one page only for ORIGINAL graphs, data, or charting information if you do research that involves the scientific gathering of information. Be sure to appropriately use and cite your references, which is not counted toward your page requirement. Written assignments are due on the FIRST day of presentations.
Oral presentations should be 10 minutes in length. I have reserved time for these at the end of the semester, and it is important to practice them on your own to be sure that you will use your allotted time appropriately. You must have visual aids to support your presentation, which may be posters, videos, presentation platforms, etc. Also, you MUST type a brief (one page) abstract of and references (in APA format) for your project. The one-page summary, references, and a link to or copy of the final product is due on the FIRST day of presentations stated on the syllabus. Your actual presentation date will be determined by a lottery system.
