63 people driving 31 cars met in the Wendy’s parking lot in Tecumseh, MI for the start of the 3rd Annual GLR Picnic and Tour. Customers pulling into Wendy’s asked whether we were having a car show. We told them, as they looked over our cars, this was the beginning of a 60-mile round trip antique car tour.
The grouped toured to Adrian for a stop at the Lenawee County Historical Museum. On arrival, the staff explained the museum, especially the 2 Adrian built cars on display. The next stop was in Dundee for a tour of the Old Mill Museum, an originally built grist mill refurbished by Henry Ford to manufacture welding tips for his automotive factories.
The last stop was back in Tecumseh for a catered picnic lunch in a nice sheltered picnic pavilion. All in all a great day with club members, driving antique cars, and seeing two interesting museums! (Submitted by Bill Sturgeon and Dave Plassman)
