Sandbox

This "Sandbox" is a play area to try out Google sites (i.e. the wiki based webtool that runs our expert group website) without worrying about breaking anything. Of course, only those of us who have edit permissions can play in this sandbox. So the sandbox is primarily meant for site editors/administrators.

Trial for sharing documents:

For the systematic literature reviews, we need a way to share articles that does not violate copyright restrictions. It is my understanding (I'm looking into this more closely) researchers can share academic articles for collaborative research without violating any intellectual property rights. Since the GBD-Injury expert group is a research collaboration, a web-based password protected file repository will likely be a reasonable solution. If we want to err on the side of caution, we can make the password available only to core members of the expert group.

Kavi is proposing using www.syncplicity.com. Syncplicity will allow us to store upto 2GB of files for free (or 50GB for $100 per year) behind a password protected web-interface.

Kavi has set up a trial account. As a trial, I have placed a couple of articles on suicides here. To access these, click on the link below and connect using the login and password provided.
