Upcoming Events (2023 - 2024)

Movie Night (Nov 3rd)

Movie Night is an evening event where families can see a kid-friendly movie at school for free. Students look forward to this event to enjoy the movie with friends and families.

STEM Workshop (TBD)

PTA will provide a fun night of exploration and provide some hands-on learning in STEM activities.

Staff Luncheon (Dec)

To thank our hard-working teachers and support staff like librarian, instructional assistants, school secretaries, tech support, PTA organizes a luncheon for the school staff.

Book Exchange / Literacy Night (Feb 9th)

Students bring in gently used books in exchange for tickets. At Book Exchange Night, students then select books and check out in exchange for the tickets. The Librarian hosts the event with PTA support. Literacy Night is generally held on the same evening as Book Exchange Night. Students enjoy many fun literacy activities such as word puzzles, word bingo, bookmark making, board games and much more.

Book Fair (Week of March 11th)

To encourage the love of books and reading, PTA hosts a book fair that students and families can visit and purchase books.

Walkathon (Last Week of April)

Walkathon is a fun event that encourages students to be active and also fund raise for their school. 

Staff Appreciation (May)

In order to honor and recognize the teachers and staff for their contributions, the room representatives work closely with the parents and students to celebrate this special week with their teacher and staff. PTA also hosts a breakfast for the teachers and staff on behalf of the parents at Garden Gate.

International Night (Last Week of May)

International Night is an event where groups of students present a cultural performance (dance, song, etc.) or host an informational table about different countries. Students learn something unique about each country's culture, history, food or customs.
