Yesterday I was in Belfast, joining the examining board of a thesis, an interesting contrastive pragmatics analysis of irony and sarcasm comprehension on the internet: “An Investigation of Chinese Adult English Learners’ Comprehension of Sarcastic Tweets in English” by Xuan Li.
Ayer estuve en Belfast, Belfast, para participar en un tribunal de tesis. La Revista de Estudios del Discurso Digital (REDD) invita a investigadores que trabajen en lengua española a enviar manuscritos para su número especial en conmemoración al aniversario de Ciberpragmática: el uso del lenguaje en internet, publicado por Francisco Yus (2001), en la editorial Ariel. Este libro, y su posterior edición en 2010, han marcado un hito en el campo de estudios del discurso digital en español. Esta obra ha permitido a numerosos investigadores encontrar un marco teórico acorde a la complejidad del tema de estudio. En 2001, cuando comenzaba a democratizarse el uso de computadoras personales y la comunicación móvil estaba extendida solo en algunas capitales (Rheingold, 2001), Ciberpragmática: el uso del lenguaje en internet inaugura una línea de estudios novedosa y lúcida que no ha perdido vigencia hasta hoy: “Me he permitido acuñar el término ciberpragmática para este intento de arrojar luz sobre las peculiaridades de la comunicación que establecen los usuarios gracias a las posibilidades de interactividad que ofrece la red de nodos llamada Internet” (Yus, 2001, p. 2).
El objetivo de este número especial (cuarto número de la revista) es recoger investigaciones que hayan seguido esta línea de investigación. En tal sentido, se priorizarán los trabajos de alta calidad que sean propuestas idóneas para ser exploradas en otros contextos de interacción digital y para futuras investigaciones. Los artículos podrán ser tanto reflexiones teóricas que continúen el trabajo iniciado por Yus o investigaciones empíricas que apliquen en sus propuestas teóricas. Se valorarán los artículos que atiendan a la riqueza y variación inter e intralingüística del español empleado en las interacciones digitales.
