THURSDAY, 4 OCTOBER
Arrivals to Porto and transportation to Foz Tua
Foreign participants are expected to arrive to Porto during the day.
15:00 to 16:00 hr:
Meeting point is the same as last year, in the new Intercontinental Hotel, city center (Palacio das Cardosas, see here). Train will departure at 16:40 from São Bento station to Campanhã Station (around 10 minutes) and then to Foz Tua along Douro rail line.
São Bento station is in central Porto station, the historical station for Douro line (more here (Wikipedia) and here). Most of the rain trip is along Douro Valley, UNESCO world heritage (more here). Only the first section of the trip it is not. Beautiful sightseeing.

19.47 Arrival at Foz Tua station. Hotel check in.

Hotels in Foz Tua, Tralhariz and Alijó.
Car transportation may be made available for special cases not being able to arrive in time for the train. But they will miss the best of sightseeing and (may be!) dinner.

11:15 For those that need an early arrival to Oporto, transportation back to Foz Tua will be provided in order to catch the 11:58 train in Foz Tua (return by the same road)
11:58 Departure, train to Porto, Douro line,. Lunch bag (from Restaurant Calça Curta): Arrival time in Oporto: 14:30, Campanhã Station (not Sao Bento!)
11:30 For those that not need an early arrival to Oporto, bus will continue the Tua Valley circuit, from Amieiro to Brunheda, through São Lourenço spa, then Pombal, Castanheiro do Norte, Ribalonga and Foz Tua
