“The Nucleus” at Foz Tua - Approaches to Museological Issues

The cultural center at Foz Tua presents a suite of design and educational challenges as well as opportunities for creative and cost effective exhibits and learning stations. Presented here are a series of guiding principles to serve as a foundation for exhibits designed to convey the work and cultures and technology that contributed to the development of the wine-growing region along the Tua Valley. Discussion includes; appropriate, cost-effective and durable use of media technology, interactive models for learning scientific concepts, and communicating with multiple audiences.
