After we finish in the laboratory each day there is time for students to relax, or do their own work if they wish. Livadi has a nice beach and the sea is clean, so swimming and snorkelling are a good way to cool down after work. There's a choice of cafes, all with wifi, so everyone can catch up with email and news in comfort. Our accommodations have a beautiful, quiet garden where you can read and chat, and over the years we have accumulated a variety of games such as boules and backgammon (tavli in Greece - a family favourite which we can teach you). You can go for a wander in the town. Hora has a modest number of shops but our students still enjoy exploring them. There are several places which specialize in pastries, cakes and gelato. On rest days students often visit other beaches. Some can be reached by walking, but it is possible to get the bus service to others, or book a minibus. There are quite a lot of options.
