Behaviour

Estonian native sheep is very communicative and get well along with people and other animals. There is a large difference in the behaviour of Estonian native sheep, some are very curious and friendly whereas others are shy. The smaller flock and the more time spent together with them the easier it is to handle them. It graze usually as one flock, a behaviour most likely due to the risk for preditor attacks. Estonian native sheep is very good in jumping and force easily 1,5 m fences. It can also stand on back legs for quite a long time when eating leaves from trees.
