The Superior Hiking Trail, when completed, will be an approximately 330 mile long hiking trail running from Duluth, Minnesota to the Canadian Border. As of the present, the trail is in two segments. One segment runs from the Canadian Border to just southwest of Two Harbors, Minnesota and is about 235 miles long. The second segment, known as the Duluth segment, runs from Jay Cooke State Park's River Inn Visitor Center to Martin Road on the eastern edge of Duluth, a distance of about 45 miles. Plans are to connect these two segments within the next three years. The trail is managed by the Superior Hiking Trail Association or SHTA.
