1965 Dingle House

The interplay and contrast of horizontal planes of dark timber and serene white supporting walls underscore the external character of this quintessential early-period Taglietti house design. With scarcely a hint of a window in eye contact with the street, the architect's dual theme of sheltering privacy externally and spatial finery internally manifest here as in other projects.

The deceptively small four-bedroom house is built on a steep cross-sloping block that opens up to the north with views over a golf course. The intricate spatial sequence of the interior is arranged over three split levels that reflect the cross slope, and is as intricate and rich as the exterior planar composition.
