Day 05: The planned route from Grootvadersbosch to Franschhoek was reduced due to a fuel leak on the BMW R1200 GS.

Day 13: The planned route from Nieuwoudtville to Augrabies was changed. Instead of taking the gravel road North from Loeriesfontein to Augrabies, we took the R357 to Brandvlei and the R27 to Keimoes. This was mainly due to the fact the the distance between fuel stops was too great for the Triumph and the conditions of the gravel road were unknown.

Day 14: Instead of going through Prieska and Hopetown. we took the R64 through Griekwastad and Kimberly to Richie (Riverside Camp). We felt that the original route was too long for a day's ride.
