We woke up to the birds chirping in the tree under which the tents were pitched. When I got out from my tent, the birds flew off and I noticed that they had performed their morning ablutions on my tent while avoiding Sean's tent. It must be the colour of my tent or something like that.
We stopped at Bloemhof to refuel and have breakfast at Whynot Restaurant. We travelled through Wolmaranstad, Klerksdorp, Potchefstroom and then took the R500 to Carletonville before joining the N14 to Centurion.
As we joined the N14, we headed straight into a thunderstorm. The sun came out and we dried off very quickly, however as we entered Centurion, it rained again so we arrived home with wet riding outfits. The trip was over and we both had a great ride.
My wife, Lynne, had prepared a great dinner for us. Sean's wife (my sister), Sarah, had driven through from Swaziland to join us on New Year's eve,
