Conclusion

Each day, while enjoying a drink under the stars, we discussed the highlights.

When trying to sum up the trip, I think there was consensus on the following:

• Best camp site: Groenrivier camp in Nieuwoudtville. The private ablutions, braai lapa, solitude and view offered a great experience.
• Best gravel road pass: The Elands pass into Gamkaskloof. Besides the stunning view, it provides enjoyable technical riding.
• Best tar road pass: My favourite is Baines Kloof for it's beauty and endless winding narrow roads. Sean enjoyed Gydo pass for its beauty and winding roads.
