Rita Menino, MSc
Rita Menino holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Aveiro and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Research, with a specialization in Oncobiology, from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra. Her MSc thesis investigated the impact of triple-negative breast cancer-derived extracellular vesicles and secretomes on cardiac endothelial cells.
She is currently a research fellow at the Drug Discovery & Development Research Unit (3D Unit) at LAQV-REQUIMTE, under the supervision of Prof. Lucília Saraiva. Her research focuses on redefining pancreatic cancer treatment through lethal therapeutic combinations involving a novel DNA damage response inhibitor. Her scientific interests include cancer biology, drug discovery, and targeted anticancer therapies.
