Rita Silva, MSc

Rita Silva is a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP). She graduated in Biochemistry (2022) and obtained her Master degree in Biochemisty (2024), at the Faculty of Sciences (FCUP) and the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS), University of Porto. Her Master thesis project was developed at LAQV-REQUIMTE, Drug Discovery and Development Research Unit (3D Unit) of the Laboratory of Microbiology of FFUP, and focused on the study and validation of a novel pharmacological DNA repair inhibitor for pancreatic cancer treatment. Her research interests focus on oncology, drug discovery, and cancer pharmacology.
