This was my second attempt at dry felting. The lighthouse sends a beam of light across the water
This was my laptop cover with eTextile flowers. Groups of flowers turn on an off in a random sequence.
Dry Felted had with several lights, modelled by Joan who is wearing chainmail and a cloak :-)
Beanie seen in the dark with this eTextile light up hat
This was a trial of pre-programming a lilypad and then sewing them. I thought that this might work for workshops in the future
I made these kits to send with teenagers who were visiting a school on an aboriginal community. It uses the motif of the aboriginal flag.
I am trying out ideas for workshops that are quick, easy and meaningful for children. This uses a 9v battery, leds and copper tape.
My first try at dry felting on a blanket bag that I made to carry boards for laser cutting
One of my children took nine months to make chainmail for one of the twins so I whipped up the dress in a weekend. Funny story, I was delayed finishing the medieval dress because the power went out and I could not use the sewing machine :-)
Using stacked layers of laser cut wood and acrylic achieved the rounded shapes that I wanted rather than hard edges.
Stick on lead and stickers can be quite effective in creating a lead light effect
This is my small rebellion in the beige corridor at work
Just because
A laptop cover that can show emotion. Green for interested, blue for relaxed and red when angry. Created by sewing tri-colored LEDs and a BBC micro:bit
This uses a simple parallel circuit to create a very effective monster. Built on a foam ball with fur.
This puppet uses a leap motion to detect a user waving and uses littleBits to wave back
The eastern barred bandicoot puppet is an effective simulated experience for children to learn conservation values.
eTextile Workshop run at Monash University Clayton campus with the theme - Tech will include me
