Reflux reduction

There aren't any easy drugs to combat reflux. Most people have to rely on lifestyle changes. [See the Reflux remedies page.] The anti-emetic drugs, Domperidone and Metoclopramide may help some sufferers, however and some people find their PPIs reduce reflux symptoms to some extent.

When lifestyle changes don't work, surgery may be an option.

The gold standard is Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication.

There are now, however, new devices, and treatments available that may prove effective in the future.
