Weekend Project: Tiffany's Window Box

Installed under a 2nd-story window without a ladder. After very carefully marking and drilling holes in both the box and the wall studs below the window, we lowered the box out the window using ratcheting cargo straps attached to the leg of the bed in that bedroom. Worked way better than I expected. :) It's attached to the wall studs with four 3/8" (I think) lag-bolts.

Bonus coolness: the window box is actually made entirely of PVC. It appears to be thick (1/2"?) sheets of dense closed-cell PVC foam. It looks like painted MDF, but it's lighter-weight. Guaranteed for life not to rot. I may need to remember this in future projects...
