DFW Brain Bee 2015

The 2015 Hockaday DFW Brain Bee was a big success! With fourteen competitors, we had the following top 3:

1st place: Christine Ji, The Hockaday School

2nd place: Rachel Shi, Jasper High School

3rd place: Akshay Malhotra, The St. Marks School of Texas

Christine will be advancing to the National Brain Bee Competition. Congratulations, Christine!

Thank you so much to Dr. Katie Croft, our awesome Neuroscience Club sponsor and Brain Bee coordinator. Thank you to our wonderful judge, Dr. Jaya Trivedi, a neurologist from UT Southwestern. Thank you to the Neuroscience Club Officers, Cristina Chavez and Suzette Kane for your hard work and helping hands, especially on the 3D printed medals and brain. Thank you Kate Cooper for such a creative artsy flyer. Thank you to Dr. Bartlett, Dr. Fishel, and the science department for your support and encouragement. Thank you to the Hockaday School and Student Council for the funding. And last but definitely not least, thank you to all of the participants and Neuroscience club members-- we couldn't have done it without you all!
