The purpose of this lab is to examine various household items to determine the substance, bond type, and properties.
Procedure (read - don't put in the lab book)
Your lab table will have four products on it.
You will be sharing these four products with the lab group across from you. You are NOT sharing answers.
Examine each product label to determine the main substance or active ingredient in the product.
Copy the data table below into your lab book for each product.
Complete the data table for each product.
Only put one or two products per page in your lab book.
You CAN NOT use the internet or the worksheets from class to look anything up.
BE NEAT AND ORGANIZED!
Half way through class we will be switching lab tables to examine four more products.
One of the products contains ethyl alcohol. We have not learned the formula for this type of naming. The formula is C2H6O
