SEMINAR ON NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE EDCATION - 7-9 September 2013: Dr. Pradeep Wagh was invited to attend a two day INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE EDCATION. This was held at Shridhar University, Pilani, Rajasthan. Dr.S.P.Mishra is currently Vice Chancellor here. Dr. Mishra has in the past been a close associate of DEIS when UDYOG SADHANA RADIO PROGRAMMES were being run by DEIS in UP. Dr. Mishra was then Director of IEDUP, Lucknow. As VC of Shridhar University, Dr Mishra has now invited Dr.Wagh as one of the advisors to him .
During this conference, Dr. Wgh met Ms. Ela Gandhi, grand daughter of Mahatma Gandhi. He exchanged views with her on development and the Enterprise Eduction initiatives of DEIS.
Academic Network-June-July 2013: Dr. Wagh during his personal visit to USA had networked with Universities there particularly New Jersey City University, USA . He had extensive discussion with their Dr. Ruddys Andrade, Vice President and helped them locate Shridhar University as an academic partner in India.
INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION SUMMIT: Dr.Pradeep Wagh , Secretary DEIS and Mrs. Netra Wagh,Member ,DEIS represented DEIS at the International Innovation Summit ,held on this day by Government of India, Confederation of Indian Industry and IITs at Sheraton Hotel, Chicago,USA.

It was an awesome event. MR. Sam Pitroda was inspiring and the sincere intent of speakers to bring 'development' to the masses in India was noticeable. The refrain of Corporates that when they expand, they also develop small enterprises in their supply chain and so bring prosperity to a larger section of the society ,also found place..
Most importantly, the role of INNOVATION in a growing economy was underlined.
The known adages:
NECCESSITY is the mother of INNOVATION.
Was shored up with:INNOVATION through INSPIRATION
INNOVATION through ASPIRATION. This one has the classic example of President JOHN F. KENNEDY expressing a national aspiration to set MAN on the moon in a decade and then all scientific innovations aligned to this.
But the simplest was INNOVATION THROUGH CONNECTION OF EARLIER BREAKTHROUGH INNOVATIONS.
A tongue in cheek example was that boxes were in use for hundreds of years for travel,
and WHEEL was invented few thousand years back, but baggage with wheels as a combination of the two has come only a couple of decades ago.

The Indus Entrepreneur (TIE)-31 March 2013: The Indus Entrepreneur (TIE) ,is an international not-for-profit organization that works for developing and nurturing an eco-system for young entrepreneurs. This is an objective close to DEIS objectives. On this day, Dr.Pradeep Wagh, Secretary DEIS participated in organsition of a National Convention of TIE in Pune.
Memory of Late R.D. Sathe-22 Feb. 2013: Late Mr.R.D.Sathe is one of the Founder Members of DEIS. Today, a CHAIR was established by Symbiosis ,Pune in his memory. DEIS trustees were invitees for the function. Mr. Shankar Menon, National Security Advisor and son-in-law of late Mr. R.D.Sathe inaugurated the chair.

Reports submitted to Charity Commissioner-19 Oct. 2012: DEIS submitted all past Change Reports of it’s Managing Committee members to Charity Commissioner, Pune.
Rural School visit-8 Aug. 2012: Rural School visited on Satara Road to determine school needs and spread message of Enterprise Education. School visited was of a progressive nature and their need is more for infrastructure like Computer aided learning, Vocational Workshop etc.

Teachers Awareness session: II-28 May 2012: Teachers Awareness session taken by DEIS on ENTERPRISE EDUCATION for Secondary and Higher Secondary levels, at the Vyavasaya Margdarshan Kendra, Kumthekar Road,Pune. About 40 teachers attended. Demonstration was held of pedagogy to be followed.
