F3 - Finance and Fundraising

In 2026 - F3 will have held three fundraisers: Chiavetta’s, a Spaghetti Dinner, and an Election Day Bake Sale.  We recognize this is an increase compared to recent years when we have had no fundraisers. These fundraisers are part of the anticipated income for our church’s General Fund budget and will hopefully have a positive effect on that budget. 

Our plans in 2027, currently have only two fundraisers planned: Chiavetta’s and the Meat Raffle. We will be educating the congregation about Per Capita contributions, and we will be continuing the second year of the Capital Campaign. 

The other collections/fundraisers like the bottle drive, food for the Food Cupboard, One Great Hour of Sharing collection, diaper collection, etc. are sponsored by other committees, approved by Session, and not run by F3. However, F3 believes these other collections/fundraisers are a sign of an energetic, growing, faith filled church shining its light in our community and the world.  We feel that congregants do not have to financially support every collection that is offered. People may choose what they feel called to support with their time and/or money as the Spirit works in and through our congregation. F3 appreciates members of Session and the congregation sharing their concerns about how money is raised and spent at Deerhurst.  As a committee, we will continue to reflect on these concerns as we plan.
