This page is not an invitation; it's just to coordinate party planning. As I write on Jan. 13, there only a couple Costco list details I know I have to update, otherwise I think the planning is DONE. Watch for those changes by Thursday.
PARTY INVITATION details AT https://sites.google.com/site/rockthebb/ Kelly says that the RSVPs total 33 adults and 11 kids! Woooohoooo!
What can you sign up for? See the 2nd and 3rd columns below to note what help is still needed... Email Margaret at clubcarpinternationalhk@yahoo.com Put "ROCK Party Assignment" in the subject line, or something EQUALLY SPECIFIC.
Hosted by: The Trouble-Making Troupe of Kelly, Susie and Jeff, Brad and Cyndy, Michael and Rebecca, Billy and Carolyn, David and Margaret. We want to make this as easy as possible on the Huffmans, although Gay has graciously offered any help requested.
Rebecca: bring cranberry chutney, 3 or 4 crock pots, a batch of chowder.
Gay is giving the following help:
chafing dish was cancelled, unless Chad wants it for the turkey. (She'll ensure the heat source, too.) She remembered having only one. Rebecca has a crock pot for Cyndy's meatballs.
2 crock pots - one from her house, one from Carley's house
Lots of long orange extension cords as needed for crock pots; (Marg has power strips to bring)
she's getting about 6 plastic serving platters; can be washed for reuse or tossed away)
she's ensuring tables, paper products (even TP), table cloths, etc, paper mugs for chowder, plastic plates in both dinner and dessert sizes
ice (they have a huge ice machine)
2 coolers (they have more if the bar crew needs them)
2 cutesie ice containers to hold wine or sodas-- more for looks than capacity-- in the shape of row boats
ladles, spatulas, serving spoons as needed
cork screws (that have bottle openers at end
at this stage, if anything else is needed, contact her directly

Shopping Lists:
Gay insists on providing the paper products and will probably color coordinate it all well. Not sure the details of what she means by this, but we will need:
napkins- cocktail size is just fine, but at least 200
cups (we'll need 100 BIG BEER cups, but plastic is probably better)
cups or bowls for soup- at least 60
appetizer size (and cake size) plates- at least 100, maybe 200.
not sure if she also means forks, spoons for eating.... Need 100 (soup) spoons and 160 forks
Costco- Kelly is making this run on Friday or very early on Saturday:
CANCEL: 1 lasagna for the kids
If Susie wants it: 1 two-lb block of Cabot EXTREMELY SHARP cheddar cheese (white) but NOT the pre-sliced cheddar chunks; we can cut up (fresher, cheaper)
1 megabox of Wheat Thins
Check with the bar people if this is needed: A case of water bottles-- enough?
1 tub of tzatziki (for dipping Spanikopita)
1 boxes of Spanikopita (48 pieces each)
2 boxes of Nancy's mini quiches (72 pieces each)
CANCEL: 2 big (2 lb at $6.00 per) tubs of Sabra hummous (roasted red pepper if possible)
a 4-lb bag of green SEEDLESS grapes (if they are pretty. If they are gross, tell Margaret to make this purchase on Saturday.) Marg has seen them at Costco for 4 lbs for $9.29 which is a really good price. Susie can leave this off of her cheese platter shop list.)
