Basically adding a pretty finish and the hinge pins. And pictures!
At left you can see the pretty finish, and not much else. The middle picture shows off the hinge working, as well as the finish. The right picture shows the hinge pin.
The hinge pins are just chunks of a paperclip. I needed something that was the right diameter (1.5mm), and that happened to work. I just cut a piece off to the right length, then hammered the end flat to make it stick in the hinge. It seems to work fairly well. Probably better than my previous plan of trying to turn down a nail on the lathe.
As mentioned previously, the finish is the result of a little elbow grease and a Scotch-Brite pad. It didn't QUITE remove the tooling marks on the bottom (not shown), but it still looks rather nice.
