Project Staff III, 2019 Filipino Scholars Symposium in Kansai, ILE Scientific Visit, and Photon Beam Symposium

I work under the DOST-JSPS Joint Research Program as a Project Staff III of the Philippine side with Dr. Arnel Salvador as Principal Investigator. The two-year project under this DOST-JSPS program is entitled, ``Radiation damage investigations on functional materials: Material development, analysis, and informatics". As part of my work as Project Staff, I received a travel grant to present a poster at the 2019 Filipino Scholars Symposium in Kansai (July 8-9, 2019). In addition, the grant enabled my participation in the Photon Beam Symposium 2019 (July 10-11, 2019) and in the Institute of Laser Engineer Scientific Visit (July 12, 2019).

Recipient, ICTP Grant to participate in SAIAM 2010

Some students of UP Diliman who were enrolled in graduate degree programs in physics and materials science and engineering were selected to join the Southeast Asian International Advances in Micro/nano-technology (SAIAM 2010) as participants. They were awarded partial financial support in the form of free accommodation and meals. The conference took place at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

One unforgettable experience for a PhD student like me was the lucid lecture on spintronics delivered by a professor from France.
