Moduli interpretations of some orbit spaces
Abstract: In this talk, we give an overview of moduli interpretations
for orbit spaces of various types of representations of algebraic
groups, as well as some applications. For the representations we will
discuss, the orbits correspond to several types of algebraic or
geometric objects, including low rank rings, algebraic curves with
specified vector bundles, and some higher-dimensional varieties. We
will also indicate how many of these seemingly unrelated spaces may be
studied simultaneously.
