2022 in review

The Lady 9ers came out to our "Spooktacular" Bingo, Bango, Bongo special game all decked out in Halloween attire.

This is our annual fun event where we play with our partner or guest and wear our team spirit!  Weather forced us to forego golf and play games in the Men's Locker Room.  A good time was had by all!

September's Special Game - Schreiner's Golf (9/22)

We started off this month's special game at PAX for coffee and then Rita's Famous Tacos for breakfast.  Eight of the Lady 9ers showed up for this off-campus event at Schreiner's Golf Center.

August's special game - Summer Shamble (8/25)

This month's special game was a Summer Shamble.  It was enjoyed by 14 Lady 9ers.  It was a 2-lady, shotgun shamble (start from the longest drive, then play your own ball in), will be played from the Comanche tees.

July's special game - Christmas in July (7/21)

This month's special game was a chipping and putting contest - individual play.  

We wore something fun, festive and colorful - some were more "colorful" than others :)

Golf was followed by lunch at the Pinnacle Grill and a fun white elephant holiday gift party.  All ladies abided by the true meaning of a “white elephant” party. (Google definition: "party game where amusing and impractical gifts are exchanged.").  

Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

June's special game - ONE'S the Loneliest Number (6/16)

This month's special game was individual play. Every lady played their own ball for 9 holes.  Handicap with pops were used.  Scoring was exposed at the end of play.  Only the following holes were scored:

O - hole One

N - hole Nine

E - hole Eight

S - holes Six and Seven

Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.

Special Event

Annual Gala - Roundup

This year's annual Gala was western themed - yeehaw.  It was attended by more than 70 lady 9ers and their partners!  We had great food and live music.  Several cowboys and cowgirls - mostly cowgirls - enjoyed dancing.

May's special game - I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for....Golf and Ice Cream (5/19)

This special game was a 2-lady team golf format.  We played 9 holes, each lady played 6 holes and 3 holes were a scramble. Following golf, Sheila Audrain graciously offered her home for our lunch which included assorted wraps, sandwiches and chips along with an ice cream sundae bar out by the pool. Water, tea and lemonade were also provided.

April's Special Game - Masters Tournament (4/7)

The Lady 9ers April special game was the Masters Tournament.   This fun, 9-hole, par 3 tournament (all holes were 150 yards or less) had the highest turn out of players this year - a total of 24 Lady 9ers played in this event!

The coveted Masters Green Jacket was passed from last year's winner, Harrilyn Pitcock to this year's winner, Lynn Dotter.  Congratulations Lynn!

March's Special Game - Tee Switcheroo (3/17)

This special game had a St. Patrick's Day theme and was played by 20 Lady 9ers.  The luck of the Irish was with many Lady 9ers.  This was a 9-hole scramble where odd holes (1,3,5,7,9) were played from red tees and even holes (2,4,6,8) were played from Comanche tees. Prizes were awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams.

February's Special Game - Roses and Hearts

String Along with Us

We held our first Special Game of the year, a step-aside tournament.  Nineteen Lady 9ers were able to attend this very windy,  fun-filled event using string to improve their team score.  We had five teams and prizes were awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams.

Special Event - Annual Kickoff Luncheon

Our annual kickoff luncheon was held at Rails - a Café at the Depot.  We met some of our newest members and heard about the upcoming fun social and golf events planned for 2022.

The Lady 9ers now have 56 members; 39 were able to attend the luncheon.
